That would be education.
Sociology majors can often find work in various schools be that in middle or high school or in an institution of higher education. With the finished sociology major students have knowledge how education works and how children develop but a certificate in teaching is also usually required. To work in higher institutions you would need a PhD or at least a MA degree.
