As the straight line is parallel we use the same slope of the original straight line.

m = -6

Now we will calculate y-intercept

[tex]\begin{gathered} b=y-mx \\ b=4-(-6)\cdot4 \\ b=4+24 \\ b=28 \end{gathered}[/tex]

The equation would be:

[tex]y=-6x+28[/tex][tex]6x+y=28[/tex]

Now in the standard form: 6x+y=28
